Today, Apple Inc. released a brand-new set of iPods. As it has been every year in September, the refreshed line of iPods offer new features, new colors, and lower prices. Here is the new set of iPods:

iPod shuffle – Today, the shuffle lineup was revamped with 3 new colors, blue, green, and pink, along with a $99 Special Edition stainless steel shuffle. Besides being extra prone to scratches, this version of the shuffle offers no real benefit over the others. In addition to the $79 4GB model, a new 2GB model is now available for $59.

iPod classic – Despite several rumors claiming the death of the hard drive iPod, it’s still around with a drive 40 GB bigger than before. At 160GB, it can hold a whopping 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video, while retaining the same size. Colors and features remain the same last year’s model.

iPod nano – Here’s where things get interesting. This year, Apple has added a video camera to the nano. It’s capable of taking video at a 640×480 resolution using 15 different filters including sepia, black & white, x-ray, and thermal. In addition, the nano gets a built-in speaker for video playback along with a built-in mic. For reasons unknown, however, the camera cannot take still shots. Anyways, the new nano also comes with an FM tuner and a larger 2.2-inch display. It is still available in 9 colors, but now the iPod is shinier due to polished anodized aluminum. You can get it now for $149 (8GB) and $179 (16GB).

iPod touch – The rumors were false on this one, too. Although the touch didn’t receive a camera, it did get the new processor from the iPhone along with a new capacity of 64GB for $399. A 32GB model is available for $299, while last year’s 8GB model is available for $199.
Soon, i’ll write a review of the iPods and tell you what I think. To learn more about these iPods, hit up Apple’s site.
